Resulta que pulula la leyenda de que la chica que protagoniza el vídeo de «Strange Little Girl», de The Stranglers, era PJ Harvey de jovencérrima. Lo recoge la revista Mojo en su último número (211, junio), en una sección llamada Ask Fred; en ella se intentan resolver las dudas cuasiexistenciales que plantean los lectores. La respuesta al lector que inquería por la veracidad de si es PJ la chica del vídeo, la respuesta es tajante:
«A check with the various band members had The Stranglers's bassist Jean-Jacques Burnel recalling that the on-screen actress was just someone whom video director Lindsey Clennel encountered in Chelsea's King's Road. The girl, who was spanish, got the part because she agreed to get her hair cut in the video. JJ can't recall her name but she certainly wasn't P.J. Harvey or even a professional model. Apparently, the hordes of punk extras who were featured on the film were all recruited via adverts on Capital Radio.»

¿Española? Pues entonces por aquí podríamos decir que era Ana Curra.PJ Harvey toca hoy en el Primavera Sound y su nombre tiene la tipografía más grande de todo el cartel como la megaestrella en que se ha convertido.
